Hello everyone! Welcome to my eyechart! There is 20 lines on that! This chart was made with my 21" monitor at 800x600. Set your monitor to 800x600!!!!!! If you have a 21" like I do, please stand back 20 feet. If its a 19" then stand back 18 feet. Likewise, stand back 16' with a 17" monitor.

Its that simple! Look at the viewable areas!
21" has 20" viewable and you stand back 20'
19" has 18" viewable and you stand back 18'
17" has 16" viewable and you stand back 16'
Have a 17" LCD? Run it at 1280x1024 and stand back 20' but however divide the line by two because it would be about half the size on your LCD as compared to my crt. If you can see 20/60 from 20' on your 17" LCD your vision is 20/30, understand?

Make sure you are running 800x600 on your CRT monitor and stand back the approperate distance based on your monitor size. Also use the scroll bars to center the letters best as you can. If there is no room to stand back this far, stand half the distance and whatever line you can see multiply by two. If you have a 17" monitor and stand back 8 feet and the best you can see is the 20/25 line, your vision is actually worse than 20/50. Likewise if all you can see is the 20/100 line from 8' on your 17" monitor, you are worse than 20/200!
Adjust your screen so it entirely fills your monitor. There should never be any black borders, period, its a waste of real estate space! I have seen 19" monitor not adjusted so the picture was only the size of a 17" It takes one minute to do this too, dont be lazy! One more thing, for the first few lines you may need to press F11(for msie at least)this will maximize the window so you can see the entire letter. If you believe your vision isnt so terriable or you cant view the letter in its entirely, just skip over a few lines. Try starting at the 20/300 line then. Thats all and I hope you understand. Enjoy testing your vision!
